Here’s Some Frequently Asked Questions.

What do I do after an accident?

Let your insurance company know we will be repairing your vehicle and get your claim number.  Call and give us the insurance information, if any, so we can complete your repairs in a timely manner.   Ask how the insurance plans to pay for your repairs and how much your deductible may be. Some send checks to the customers and some send them to the body shop…it helps to know who should be receiving it. Payment must be made before the vehicle is delivered.
Do not drive a vehicle that is unsafe!!  Call us and we can make arrangements to get the vehicle here and keep you and your family safe.

Am I required to get more than one estimate?

No.  As a vehicle owner you have the right to choose where you have your vehicle repaired.  There is no law requiring you to get 3 estimates, actually the law states just the opposite.  Your insurance company can require you to get an estimate from a certain shop but you can take that estimate to any body shop you want.

Can you waive my deductible?

No.  The deductible is a contract between you and your insurance company.  Not collecting a deductible is insurance fraud.

Who do I pay my deductible to?

You are responsible for full payment of your deductible to B&E Collision when you pick up your vehicle. We accept visa, master card, discover and personal checks up to $500.00.

Will the parts be ordered before I drop off my car?

Yes,  if your vehicle is deemed drivable.  We will schedule you to bring your vehicle back after the parts arrive.  This will allow us to speed up your repair process by not waiting on parts.

Can I get other service work done on my vehicle while it’s in the shop?

Absolutely…just let us know and we’ll make the arrangements.

How long will the repairs take?

Depending on the amount of damage repair times will vary.  When you receive your estimate the estimator will look at how many hours it will take to repair your vehicle and give you a time frame.  Most scheduled repairs take 2-5 days, while vehicles that need to be towed in can take much longer.

How do I get a rental car?

If you need a rental car just let us know, we can make the necessary arrangements.

When will I be notified my car is ready?

We will notify you as soon as we get the car completed and it passes our inspection.

What is a betterment?

Insurance companies rates are usually based on losses and the Insurance Company will not allow the insured to profit or “better” from the loss.  A betterment can reduce the amount the insurance pays toward your claim.  The insurance company can argue that the newer parts actually enhance the value of your vehicle.  This typically happens on parts like tires and batteries.  These charges are determined and pro-rated by oyur insurance company.

What happens if I find additional damage that wasn’t on my estimate?

It is not uncommon to find additional damage when the car has been disassembled.  When an estimate is written it only included the visible damage.  If this happens we will notify you and your insurance company.

Do you have a warranty?

Yes.  We offer a lifetime warranty on all repairs we make to your vehicle.
